Factor this: Reuters has outsourced their entire data and communication needs to British Telecom (BT) for an estimated $7 million. Of this BT will arguably pocket a neat $1 million as gross profit. According to a BT source, the telco decided to concentrate just on its enterprise business when it saw the wireless market in UK hit saturation point. The strategy is paying off and others are following suit.
